The primary responsibility of a Frozen Foods Stock Clerk is to ensure customer satisfaction by neatly and accurately stocking sales floor shelves in a timely manner, while providing courteous, pleasant, and patient customer service.

• Stocking & Merchandising:
  Retrieve perishable merchandise from the walk-in chill and freezer, transport it to the sales floor, display it neatly in correct locations, keep shelves fronted and stocked throughout the day, rotate items, and pull outdated merchandise.
• Inventory & Department Maintenance:
  Receive and store freight, take inventory of back stock, order merchandise as needed, monitor display case temperatures, notify vendors of credited merchandise, report price label errors, and red-tag or price merchandise as needed.
• Housekeeping & Safety:
  Perform hourly sweep log duties, keep aisles clear and clean, clean display cases and walk-in chill/freezer areas, organize product rotation, discard trash/cardboard, and bale rubbish when needed.
• Customer & Team Engagement:
  Promptly, courteously, and efficiently greet, thank, offer assistance to, and meet the needs of all customers. Answer phone calls and assist co-workers as needed.

• Environment:
  Frequently work indoors in an air-conditioned store, which may be extremely cold when storing merchandise or cleaning the chill box and freezer, and noisy during high-volume customer periods. Occasionally work outdoors in hot, humid, or rainy conditions to discard trash and cardboard.
• Physical Effort:
  Continuously stand, walk, handle, use fingers, and maintain corrected vision. Frequently bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach to stock merchandise and take inventory. Occasionally push/pull up to 300 lbs and lift/carry up to 50 lbs using stock wagons or pallet jacks. Seldom climb ladders to face or stock top shelves.
• Safety Equipment:
  Continuously wear a back support belt when performing all job duties.
• Equipment Use:
  Frequently use stock wagons and case cutters. Occasionally use telephones, cardboard balers, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts. Seldom use ladders, code guns, and handheld bar code scanning devices.
