AIR Conditioning Mechanic; Bc-

Blaisdell Center and Waikiki Shell to the Honolulu Zoo and the City Municipal Golf Courses, the Department of Enterprise Services, Building Services Division, is looking for a licensed Air Conditioning Mechanic to maintain, repair, overhaul, test, and operate air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

• Inspect and test AC and refrigeration equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including lubrication, belt adjustments, pressure checks, and cleaning and defrosting.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and estimate the materials, parts, and labor needed for repairs.
• Read technical plans and manuals and perform occasional soldering, brazing, and welding.
• Prepare reports on work performed, materials used, and labor.

2. Prior to appointment, a valid appropriate driver's license (Type 3/automobile) is required.

• Knowledge of the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Proficiency in using trade tools, servicing equipment, chemicals, and testing instruments.
• Understanding of refrigeration principles, workplace hazards, and applicable safety procedures and precautions.
• Ability to identify equipment malfunctions, determine appropriate corrective actions, and estimate labor, time, and material requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and written instructions, as well as follow oral directions.
• Ability to handle tools, equipment, weights, and loads safely and skillfully.
• Ability to communicate effectively and cooperate with coworkers.
