We’re looking for a high-energy, creative, and detail-oriented Part-Time Reservation Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be answering phones, booking reservations, and selling our exciting programs — all while delivering top‑notch service that reflects the spirit of adventure at Outside.

Requirements Position Responsibilities

As a Part‑Time Reservation Specialist
, you’ll support the Reservations Team in a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Answering incoming calls, booking reservations, and promoting our programs
  • Forwarding calls and messages to the appropriate team members
  • Notifying the Reservations Manager or Director of Program Operations when guides or captains need to be assigned to booked programs
  • Tracking guide, captain, and boat assignments to ensure every trip is fully staffed
  • Assisting with customer reservation inquiries or issues
  • Monitoring weather conditions and keeping guides, captains, and guests informed
  • Coordinating trip updates and logistics with guides and captains
  • Communicating guest reservation details with concierges and partners
  • Attending occasional all‑staff meetings
  • Contributing to a positive team culture by leading with a helpful, professional attitude
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or 1–2 years of related experience/training
    ; or a comparable combination of education and hands‑on experience
  • Strong computer skills
    , including comfort with reservation systems, internet tools, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • A positive, team‑focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
