Job Description

A busy Urgent Care clinic in Hilton Head, SC seeks a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant. This role includes clinical and front‑desk responsibilities requiring strong communication and a patient‑focused mindset.

• Room patients, take vitals, and enter information into EMR
• Collect medical history, demographics, and prescription information
• Recognize patient distress and alert provider
• Perform lab tests and collect specimens (including phlebotomy)
• Assist with medication administration under provider direction
• Support occupational health testing
• Maintain clean exam rooms and functioning equipment
• Provide excellent customer service and assist at the front desk
• Answer phones, update demographics, and help with check‑in/out
• Travel to nearby centers when needed
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of accredited Medical Assisting program
• Current CMA or RMA certification
• CPR certification
• OSHA/HIPAA training
• EMR proficiency and basic medical terminology
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts + weekends
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting
