The Student Nurse Apprentice I (SNA I) serves as a member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system. The SNA I provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living, comfort measures, and maintains a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Current student in an accredited nursing program, required.
• Experience: No experience necessary.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of Novant Health sponsored training program, required.
  • Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment), required.
  • Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant Training, required.
• Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Basic computer skills for documentation.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to write effectively; effective computer skills; strong customer service skills.
  • Potential to perform Medical Unit Receptionist (MUR) and Safety Attendant duties as assigned. If needed in the MUR role, must be able to perform the skills indicated in the MUR job description. If needed in the Safety Attendant role, must complete appropriate training and demonstrate required skills.
