Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Administrator & Service Technician to join our Bluffton team. This role combines system administration with hands-on service delivery—maintaining and supporting client networks, servers, and endpoints while also providing proactive maintenance and troubleshooting both remotely and onsite. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset, with the drive to take ownership of complex systems and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties

Provide remote and onsite support for client systems, including hardware, software, and networking issues.

Perform preventive maintenance and health checks on client environments.

Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, servers, and applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve performance, connectivity, and security issues.

Maintain documentation, use ticketing systems, and follow escalation procedures.

Perform system patching, firmware updates, and hardware replacements.

Manage warranty and RMA claims with vendors and manufacturers.

Uphold security and confidentiality standards when handling client data.

Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for internal and client teams.

Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, vendors, and teammates.

Coordinate technical efforts to implement new systems or resolve escalated issues.

Promote continuous learning and improvement across the team.

Stay current on evolving IT technologies and best practices.

Technical Skills & Experience

Associate degree or equivalent experience; 4+ years supporting IT environments.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+,
Network+, or Microsoft are a plus.

Hands-on experience with:

Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Windows Workstation OS

Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy

VMWare and virtualization technologies

Firewalls (Fortinet preferred), IPS/IDS, VPN/SSL VPN

Switches (Layer 2/3), VLANs, subnets, and wireless access points

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for servers and workstations.

Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver timely, high-quality results.

Standard business hours with occasional after-hours/on-call work.

Reliable transportation and clean driving record required.
