Job Description:

Manufacturing Technician A (Laser Assembly Technician) will focus on Laser Transmitter manufacturing and work within a cleanroom environment performing day-to-day operational needs of the business. This position installs, aligns, and operates laser transmitters and components. He/ She assists in the building techniques to ensure successful product output from the cleanroom and laser operations area.

Essential Functions:

* Develop techniques and procedures for building lasers
* Assembles and tests optical, mechanical, and electrical subassemblies.
* Completes optical bonding, cleaning, and inspection of laser units with high attention to detail.
* Builds wiring harness, solders and performs PCB assembly of electrical and electrooptical subassemblies.
* Identifies problems and issues, resolves most issues, and makes recommendations for improvements in yield.
* Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.
* Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.
* Perform job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
* Follows established processes to complete tasks
