Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Execute opening and/or closing procedures
- Check quality and freshness of ingredients
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat)
- Monitor inventory levels
- Adhere to recipes including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Cook food with various utensils, grillers, fryers, ovens, and smoker
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Modify or prepare items to accommodate individual allergies
- Keep temperature logs
- Handle multiple orders at a time
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment
- Adhere to cleaning standards
- Wash cookware, utensils, dishes, and serve ware to sanitation standards
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly according to guidelines
- Store all food properly
- Organize and maintain kitchen storage areas
- Six months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club
- Speak fluent English
- Able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time
- Willing to share in working days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
