Harbour Town Golf Links, Heron Point by Pete Dye, and Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III. Harbour Town Golf Links is the iconic host of the RBC Heritage, South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event, drawing the world’s best players and international recognition each spring.

The Sea Pines Resort is seeking an Assistant-in-Training to join the Golf Course Maintenance team at Harbour Town Golf Links
. This role provides hands‑on experience maintaining one of the most recognized courses in the world while preparing for and supporting a PGA TOUR event. The AIT will learn championship‑level maintenance practices, develop technical skills, and build leadership abilities in a high‑profile environment.

• Work directly with the Harbour Town team to prepare and recover from the RBC Heritage PGA TOUR event
• Gain experience maintaining turf under high‑traffic, professional play conditions
• Learn advanced strategies for greens management, irrigation precision, and bunker presentation at a globally renowned course
• Develop leadership skills in a fast‑paced environment while working alongside industry leaders and PGA TOUR professionals

• Learn daily maintenance practices that ensure championship‑level playing conditions
• Gain practical experience with pesticide and fertilizer applications
• Develop skills in irrigation operation, hand watering, and water management strategies
• Participate in course improvement projects, renovations, and cultural practices
• Shadow superintendents and assistants to understand leadership, scheduling, and crew management

• Assist with daily course setup: cup cutting, bunker maintenance, and mowing practices
• Operate a variety of turf equipment, including mowers, rollers, and aerifiers
• Support fertilizer and pesticide handling, calibration, application, and record keeping
• Participate in irrigation inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Lead small crews on projects and daily assignments as experience grows
• Contribute to tournament and event preparation, including the RBC Heritage

• Mentorship from Golf Course Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents
• Exposure to three distinct championship courses and their unique maintenance practices
• Networking with industry leaders, vendors, and PGA TOUR professionals
