Accounts Payable Administrator

In this Finance position at the Accounts Payable department at Monks, you are a trusted finance expert supporting the processing of supplier invoices. You will be solely responsible for a number of countries in which Monks is active in APAC, based in our Malaysia office. Our ideal candidate is an experienced AP accountant who is used to working in an international environment.

This position is for a 6‑month contract.

• Book incoming invoices, credit cards and other adhoc payments with accuracy in posting to appropriate ledgers.
• Vendor registration – including callbacks and sending confirmation emails.
• Ensure VAT/GST are taken into account when posting invoices.
• Prepare and review weekly payment lists.
• Be in contact with the responsible colleagues of the entities regarding invoices and payments.
• Month‑end checks to ensure all fixed monthly expenses have been taken into account.
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
• Preparing bi‑weekly AP aging for review.

• At least 3–5 years of experience in AP accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and applications.
• Self‑driven and able to oversee the total AP process for its country.
• Action‑oriented person who has a problem‑solving mindset.
• Familiar with accounting software.
• Good English written and verbal communication skills.
