As an Assistant Designer at Hunkemöller, you will work closely with the Designer to support the design team in the creation of our latest nightwear collections. Your role will involve researching trends, creating sketches and technical drawings, and collaborating with suppliers and manufacturers to bring our designs to life. You will also be responsible for managing design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Lingerie Designer in creating designs that align with Hunkemöller's brand vision and aesthetic.

  • Conduct research on current and emerging lingerie trends, fabrics, and techniques.

  • Create sketches and technical drawings to communicate design concepts to the wider team.

  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers to develop prototypes and samples.

  • Assist in the management of design projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and designs are of a high standard.

  • Maintain design records and files, including fabric and trim swatches, sketches, and samples.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaign assets that showcase Hunkemöller's latest designs.

Qualifications
  • A degree in fashion design or a related field.

  • 1‑2 years of experience in nightwear design, either in a design house or fashion brand.

  • Excellent sketching and technical drawing skills.

  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction techniques.

  • Strong understanding of print design, repeat layouts, and placement development across apparel categories.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Knowledge/Experience of 3D design is advantageous but not compulsory.

  • Passionate about lingerie and fashion, with an eye for detail and trends.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
