YOU’LL WORK WITH

In strong collaboration with the Store Design Director, X-Functional Nike teams and external vendors you will design stores to deliver the EMEA Marketplace Strategy. Your role will be a part of the team that is most integral to our Value business, with an incredibly diverse set of stakeholders. From creative leadership on an EMEA level through to day‑to‑day liaison with Nike Direct store construction, real estate, and concepts teams.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As a Senior Store Designer in the Nike EMEA Brand Creative Studio, you will deliver work that aligns with both the Retail Design Strategy and EMEA Brand Creative functional goals. Based in the Netherlands, you will focus on projects across the EMEA geography and work under the direction of a Design Director. You are a collaborative, creative team player who contributes to the development and execution of innovative retail environments that embody Nike’s design ethos and elevate the consumer experience.

You also will design retail stores based on established concepts, supporting Nike’s business priorities. Your projects will support Nike’s retail business plans. You will work in collaboration with the design team or independently to complete the most technically challenging individual projects.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Your work will span a diverse range of briefs focused on retail design that directly support our Win Now offense. In close partnership with the Store Design Director, you will design stores that bring the EMEA Marketplace Strategy to life, with a particular emphasis on the Value business. You will collaborate with peers, design counterparts and X‑functional teams to ensure design continuity across all areas of focus.

You are expected to apply the design process and established best practices to consistently meet deliverables, timelines, and budgets. You will confidently elevate issues to design leadership with clarity and accuracy when needed. Actively gaining knowledge and experience regarding Nike’s design philosophy, products and processes will be a constant within this role. You will communicate design concepts and work with leadership to evaluate your own creative process.

In addition, you will contribute ideas that influence and elevate Nike Brand Creative and help drive ongoing best practices within the team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

  • A minimum of 4 years+ creative experience in architecture, spatial and/or interior design, with ideally a strong focus on consumer brands.
  • Proven exceptional ability to apply and perform design skills, including drawing/sketching, 3D & interior design, ideation, color theory, use of texture, architectural knowledge, lighting, visual presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply these skills in innovative ways that elevate brand excellence, with a comprehensive knowledge of design processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of design software.
  • Ability to travel 10% within Europe.
  • Exposure to, and understanding of consumer behavior and the EMEA retail marketplace.
  • You will be able to distil briefs down in a way that allows you to showcase your thinking in creative ways.
  • Experience of collaborating effectively with other functions, departments and external stakeholders.
  • Great sense of judgment and decision‑making. Emotionally intelligent with a growth mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and rendering software such as Enscape.
  • Ability to work across multiple deadlines driven projects.
  • Strong ability to create and deliver design presentations.
  • Experience working in and passionate about sport, the sports lifestyle and the culture around it.
