Kanjercoaches "Project:
For you and your child".

Project: "For you and your child". This project consists of 16 meetings per year and is intended for parents of children between 2 and 5 years old and with children in groups 1 & 2 of primary school. The voluntary Kanjercoach supervises the meetings. Parents learn to stimulate the language development of their child during parent meetings by practicing language games and by asking questions.

This promotes the interaction between parent and child. Parents receive material during the course that fits in with the themes within the school or playgroup. Both parents with a Dutch‑speaking background and with a foreign‑speaking background can participate in this.

The following areas of development get attention in "For you and your Child"

• Starting math skills: counting, measuring and orientation in space and time.
• Motor development: gross and fine motor skills.
• Socio-emotional development: independence, self-confidence and playing and working together.

What are you going to do?

We work with Uk & Puk in our playgroups. As a Kanjercoach volunteer you give a parent course of 16 meetings in Hilversum, one meeting every two weeks, on a variety of topics.

This is you

• You are interested in (child) language development and education.
• You are able to work independently.
• You enjoy coaching parents in supporting their children.
• You have an MBO diploma at level 4.
• You have a good command of the Dutch language.
