Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a highly regarded independent firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers in Hinckley who are looking to add a Tax Senior Associate to their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax professional to join a well‑established practice, taking ownership of a varied portfolio of clients whilst working closely with senior tax specialists on a range of compliance and advisory matters.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, overseeing the self‑assessment process from information gathering through to submission and client payment notifications. You will also gain exposure to a range of specialist work, including Capital Gains Tax, Trust Registration Service submissions, inheritance tax compliance, HMRC enquiries, and advisory‑related compliance projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
- Preparing and submitting Self-Assessment tax returns
- Managing the self-assessment process from information requests through to submission
- Preparing partnership, trust and estate tax returns
- Preparing 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns
- Managing the P11D process and HMRC submissions
- Assisting with Trust Registration Service submissions, inheritance tax returns, and other advisory‑related compliance work
- Liaising directly with clients and HMRC on day‑to‑day tax matters
- Supporting Tax Directors on ad hoc tax planning and advisory projects
- Assisting with the development and review of junior team members where appropriate
- ATT Qualified or Qualified by Experience
- A minimum of five years' personal tax experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of UK personal tax compliance, including Self‑Assessment
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients independently
- Experience with partnership, trust, estate and Capital Gains Tax compliance
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Hybrid working available following probation (up to two days from home)
