Overview
Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Hinckley
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Group Services team at Galliford Try. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in our Hinckley office supporting the payroll function.
Responsibilities- Part of a team processing both weekly and monthly payrolls, with responsibility for allocated Business Units.
- Ensure that all employee related data is correctly entered into the system, and that all necessary amendments have been completed prior to the payroll deadlines.
- Identify missing weekly timesheets and request timely completion of the timesheets.
- Process and calculate family and sickness leave.
- Process payroll inputs including regular and irregular deductions/payments.
- Process starters and leavers along with relevant tax documents.
- Raise payments for third party deductions and authorities.
- Produce and distribute reports required to validate and review the accuracy of all data entry.
- Promptly deal with employee, statutory authorities or Business Unit queries when required.
- Assist with benefit in kind queries for company benefits.
- Provide holiday cover when required and actively assist team members to achieve the relevant deadlines.
- All queries resolved promptly by email/phone.
- Accurate processing of payroll data and keen eye for detail.
- Early identification and resolution of problems.
- Compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Compliance with SSC procedures, deadlines and SLAs.
- Knowledge of SMP, SPP, SSP calculations in accordance to HMRC legislation.
- Understanding of tax and NI and other deductions from pay.
- Oracle experience desirable but not essential.
- Experience working in a busy payroll or finance team is preferred.
