Overview
Fuel Recruitment is partnering with a leading organisation seeking a Cloud Applications Analyst to join their expanding IT function. This role sits within the Cloud Applications team and focuses on the administration, development and support of core business applications. You’ll work across day‑to‑day operations, project delivery and technical troubleshooting, contributing to a modern Microsoft‑based environment. Office attendance in Hinckley is required at least once a week.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support business applications built on Microsoft technologies including Azure, Windows Server, Entra, Active Directory and SQL Server.
* Manage and resolve escalated Service Now incidents and service requests.
* Install, configure and support new applications based on business requirements through to go‑live.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation within the internal information store.
* Monitor applications, apply updates and security patches, and escalate issues where required.
* Collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
* Log application change requests in Service Now and present at weekly change board meetings.
* Support planned out‑of‑hours work such as upgrades and security patching.
Key Skills / Experience
* Experience supporting business applications in a virtualised environment.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies:
Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra, SSO and networking fundamentals.
* Background in application installation, configuration, upgrades and patching.
* Understanding of SQL Server (IaaS/PaaS) with appetite to develop further.
* Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Service Now.
* Awareness of change control and governance processes.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
Desirable Skills
* Exposure to non‑Microsoft cloud platforms.
* Knowledge of IT infrastructure and virtualisation technologies.
* Power Shell scripting for automation and system management.
* Experience working within multi‑company or shared‑services environments.
