The OpportunityAs a Logistics Planning Support Technician, you will support the coordination and improvement of logistics planning activities across Building Construction Products, Leicester, with a key focus on Fleet operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing high-volume data and invoice activity, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned to Caterpillar Production System (CPS) principles.
What You Will Do- Support the development and improvement of logistics processes to enhance safety, efficiency, and consistency
- Manage and analyse high-volume data and invoices, ensuring accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and minimising financial and business risk
- Support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, resolving day-to-day issues and driving practical, sustainable improvements with the logistics fleet department
- Work across teams to support logistics planning and Fleet activity, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment e.g. breakdowns, servicing, invoicing and quotations
- Create, update, and audit Standard Work documentation in line with CPS and CQMS standards
- Attention to Detail: Works with high accuracy, managing detailed and high-value data to ensure outputs are precise, reliable, and minimise risk
- Planning & Organisation: Plans and prioritises workload effectively, managing multiple competing demands and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Collaboration & Communication: Works effectively with others, communicating clearly and building strong working relationships across teams to support delivery
- Data & Analytical Capability: Uses data and systems (e.g. Excel) to interpret information, identify issues, and support timely and effective decision-making
- Applies continuous improvement approaches (e.g. CPS / Lean) to identify inefficiencies and support process improvements
- Uses digital tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, planning systems such as Coupa or Next Gen) to manage and interpret data effectively
- Demonstrates an awareness of logistics, operational, or fleet processes to support planning and delivery

Travel:
