Role:
Quality Inspector

Location:

Hinckley, Leicestershire

Salary: £34,000 – £42,000 per year (Negotiable)

Hours:

Monday – Thursday | 08:00 – 16:30 Friday | 08:00 – 15:30 (Early Finish)

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Duties:

• Conduct high‑accuracy CMM inspections using PC‑DMIS

• Perform first‑off, in‑process, and final inspections on precision‑machined components

• Inspect parts machined from a variety of metals, including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, and other exotic alloys

• Create, modify, and run PC‑DMIS inspection programs

• Read and interpret complex technical drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specification documents

• Produce detailed inspection reports and non‑conformance documentation

• Use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, shadow graph, etc.)

• Work closely with engineering, production, and programming teams to resolve quality issues

The Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Quality Inspection role

• Strong experience using CMM machines with PC‑DMIS (programming or editing essential)

• Confident inspecting aerospace‑grade or tight‑tolerance precision components

• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings

• Competent using a wide range of manual and digital inspection tools

• Experience working with various metals and precision‑machined parts

• Ability to produce accurate reports and documentation

• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
