The OpportunityAre you someone who can inspire change and innovation? We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who is ready to dive straight in! You will lead a team of Engineers, Technicians and apprentices developing manufacturing processes, tooling and tool design, and equipment necessary to successfully and economically produce Caterpillar’s world‑class Telehandler.
Responsibilities- Oversee manufacturing engineering teams and develop the personnel that perform and support the plant operating functions.
- Monitor and report on project health, including issue management to ensure People, Quality, Velocity and Cost targets are achieved.
- Facilitate the development of manufacturing process solutions working with functional teams, using tools such as process flows, PFMEAs, and control plans. Promote lean and quality as a focus within the business.
- Project management – full scope, development, budgets, resources and management of NPI or Improvement projects (Technology/Efficiency/Quality) from initiation to production and program completion.
- Lead tool design, assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimating, systems planning, layout, standards, releasing, etc.
- Manage development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realise operating goals and objectives.
- Lead the installation of new machines and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts.

What You Can Demonstrate – Extensive Experience In- Manufacturing Processes:
Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process. - Project Management:
Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organise, monitor, budgets and control projects, ensuring efficient utilisation of technical and administrative resources to achieve project targets. - Manufacturing Safety:
Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work‑related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
- Judgment and Decision Making:
Knowledge of process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximise organisational performance. - Problem Management Process – MFG:
Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bring that problem to a successful resolution. - Leading Teams:
Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Demonstrated success in managing cross‑functional teams to achieve project goals and drive continuous improvement.
