Machine Shop Operative – Motorcycle Manufacturer

Pay: £15.27 – £19.09 per hour (depending on shift)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a prestigious motorcycle manufacturer based in Hinckley. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-renowned company working within their machine shop on a rotating shift pattern.
Shift Pattern (rotating weekly):

* 5:45am – 2:00pm (Monday to Friday)

* 1:45pm – 10:00pm (Monday to Friday)

* 9:45pm – 6:00am (Monday to Thursday)

Key Responsibilities:

* Operating a variety of machinery, including CNC machines, grinders, polishers, and balancing tools

* Handling and preparing machined components used in motorcycle manufacturing

* Using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, plug gauges, and thread gauges

* Completing data collection sheets accurately and escalating quality issues to the Production Engineer as required

* Performing manual handling tasks (up to 13kg) and using air tools as part of daily operations

* Following a single-piece flow manufacturing system

* Supporting other component preparation tasks as necessary
Requirements:

* Previous experience working in a machine shop or production environment

* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurement tools

* Comfortable with physically demanding work and consistent manual handling

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

* Must be reliable and flexible with shift work
