Machine Shop Operative Motorcycle Manufacturer

Pay: £15.27 £ 19.09 per hour (depending on shift)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a prestigious motorcycle manufacturer based in Hinckley. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-renowned company working within their machine shop on a rotating shift pattern.

Shift Pattern (rotating weekly):

• 5:45am 2:00pm (Monday to Friday)

• 1:45pm 10:00pm (Monday to Friday)

• 9:45pm 6:00am (Monday to Thursday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a variety of machinery, including CNC machines, grinders, polishers, and balancing tools

• Handling and preparing machined components used in motorcycle manufacturing

• Using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, plug gauges, and thread gauges

• Completing data collection sheets accurately and escalating quality issues to the Production Engineer as required

• Performing manual handling tasks (up to 13kg) and using air tools as part of daily operations

• Following a single-piece flow manufacturing system

• Supporting other component preparation tasks as necessary

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a machine shop or production environment

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurement tools

• Comfortable with physically demanding work and consistent manual handling

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Must be reliable and flexible with shift work
