Production Operative
£15.05 per hour | Rotating Shifts | Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern:- Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Week 2: 1:45pm – 9:45pm
We are looking for reliable, motivated, and safety-conscious individuals to join a busy production team. As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring products are packed, labelled, and prepared accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Safely pack chemicals into a variety of containers and outer packaging in line with company procedures.
- Operate measuring and weighing equipment accurately.
- Complete production and stock transactions using computer-based systems.
- Assemble, seal, and label products correctly, ensuring compliance with UN regulations.
- Verify batch numbers, chemical codes, and product labels for accuracy.
- Prioritise and safely move chemical containers, including IBCs, drums, and sacks.
- Apply supply and UN labels where required.
- Palletise finished products and prepare them for warehouse transfer.
- Support the movement of raw materials and finished goods across site.
- Process returned packaging for reuse in accordance with safety procedures.
- Carry out routine quality inspections and checks.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and basic upkeep.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and organised workplace.
- Support stock control activities and the disposal of redundant materials.
- Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on production environment.
- Reliable, motivated, and committed to delivering high standards.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Dedicated to working safely and following procedures at all times.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Willingness to learn new processes and support colleagues.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using production systems.
- Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of delivery requirements.
