Site Safety and Health Officer; SSHO

An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer for the 10MW Generation Plant with Microgrid Controls project at Fort Stewart, Georgia.

As a Site Safety and Health Officer, you will be responsible for the implementation and administration of the accident prevention program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees on the project.

Requirements:

• Five (5) or more years of cumulative construction safety experience, within the last ten (10) years, managing or implementing a Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) program on projects similar in type, size, and complexity; or three (3) or more years of such experience, within the last ten (10) years, when combined with a safety-related degree or a third-party, nationally accredited Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) certification or designation that requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience to obtain.
• Working knowledge of EM-385-1-1;
• Completion of the 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety course within the last five (5) years; and
• Twenty-four (24) hours of formal safety training as follows: confined space, scaffolding, cranes and rigging, excavation/trenching, fall protection, and electrical within the last five (5) years.
