Pediatrician

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
• Pediatrics Residency completed
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license
• BLS / Pediatric ACLS certification
• At least 12 months of recent experience within the last 36 months

Schedule:

• Full-time position
• 8-hour shifts between 07:30 and 16:30, Monday through Friday
• Excludes Federal and Training Holidays unless assigned to be On-call
• Includes a non-paid lunch break of up to 60 minutes
• Shift hours may vary to support extended clinic hours and could include weekends
• Over 40 hours per week require prior approval
• On-call shifts are scheduled by the department and can range from 12 to 24 hours, based on provider preference

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat illnesses, conditions, and injuries
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
• Maintain patient records and histories
• Prescribe treatments, medications, vaccinations, and therapies
• Explain procedures and discuss test results with patients and families
• Monitor patient progress and condition
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and refer patients as needed
• Advise on diet, hygiene, activities, and disease prevention
• Stay updated on medical research and advancements
