We are seeking a Family Advocacy Program (FAP) Program Assistant Educator to join our diverse and talented team at Ft. Stewart in Hinesville, GA
. This is an on-site opportunity on-base. The FAP Assistant Educator will coordinate, schedule & complete all preparation and accountability tasks for the Family Violence education for soldiers, command groups, community groups, DODDS school personnel and students and professional groups.
The FAP Assistant Educator is responsible for the following:
Managing the inspections and coordination of safety assessment of Child and Youth Services facilities
Create marketing tools (flyers, needs assessments)
Participate and assist in planning and coordinating outreach events for FAP & ACS
Prepare daily FAP correspondence (agendas, documentation, requests, etc)
Communicate with the FAP Manager on a daily basis in regard to correspondence, program statistics and progress on all contractor responsibilities
Schedule, organize, confirm attendance and attend FAP meetings
Serve as non‑voting member and take notes of the quarterly Family Advocacy Committee (FAC), Fatality Review Committee, and Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB) Multidisciplinary Team Meeting.
Track, update and maintain a copy of all FAP standard operating procedures
Serve as point of contact within FAP for all accreditation materials
Provide Administrative support
Maintain and track inventory of all educational materials
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, Nursing, Counseling or Behavioral Science, Education or Community/Public Health from an accredited university.
Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in family and children’s services or community organization, one year of which is in Family violence. Experience in the area of Family violence must be documented in the following areas: (1) Dynamics of child and spouse abuse, (2) Ability to develop and implement a training program, (3) Knowledge of individual and group dynamics, (4) Knowledge of issues and concerns related to the military and the dynamics of abuse on the military family.
Shall possess strong ability to present information orally and in written format (i.e., marketing) in English
