The Civi Group has partnered with a well-established mechanical contractor in South Boston, specializing in comprehensive commercial HVAC and plumbing services. They are currently seeking an Estimator, specializing in plumbing, to work on medium to large scale construction projects.

This Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for plumbing systems in medium to large scale construction projects. They will analyze project documents to assess the required materials, labor, and time necessary for project completion. They will also collaborate closely with the project management team, providing them with the information needed to make informed decisions about project costs and timelines.

Compensation:

Salary:
Up to approximately $105K based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project blueprints and technical documents to accurately assess material, labor, and time requirements.
• Work closely with project management teams to provide essential cost information and risk assessments for project planning and decision-making.
• Ensure that all estimates are accurate and competitive, reflecting both client needs and market conditions.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain optimal pricing and contract conditions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to better understand project scope and requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to ensure compliance with all specifications and regulations.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of past projects and bids to refine costing models and efficiency.

Skills &

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in construction estimating, with a specific focus on plumbing systems.
• Strong familiarity with plumbing and related building codes and standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Quick Pen) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Drivers License for site visits and client meetings.
