The Opportunity

This role is designed for an experienced estimator with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take the next step toward becoming a Senior Construction Cost Estimator
.

From day one, you'll take meaningful ownership of estimates across a diverse portfolio of projects while working alongside our experienced senior estimating team. You'll gain hands‑on exposure to complex assignments, client meetings, estimate reconciliations and technical reviews, with a clear pathway to becoming a fully autonomous Senior Estimator within the next 1–2 years
.

We're looking for someone who can contribute immediately, while continuing to develop the technical judgement, client leadership and project ownership required to independently lead projects from end to end.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates across education, municipal, commercial, healthcare and institutional projects

• Develop conceptual estimates and cost plans throughout all phases of design.
• Take ownership of significant estimating responsibilities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Participate in estimate reconciliations, technical reviews and value engineering.
• Participate in client meetings and project discussions.
• Maintain cost data, estimating resources and market intelligence.
• Contribute to AM Fogarty's estimating standards and best practices.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a proven track record of independently preparing high‑quality quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates.
• Can work across multiple design phases, from conceptual through construction documents.
• Can interpret complex drawings and specifications and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Is comfortable participating in estimate reconciliations and technical reviews.
• Communicates professionally with architects, engineers and other clients.
• Has strong architectural, structural and civil estimating knowledge

• Has excellent Excel skills and experience with industry‑standard estimating and takeoff software.
• Has the judgement, ambition and desire to develop into a fully autonomous Senior Estimator.

• Base salary: $125,000–$140,000
