Are you ready to design, develop, and bring to life the next generation of industrial packaging equipment? At Massman Companies, we're looking for a curious, hands‑on, solutions‑driven Product Engineer to join our team of thinkers, makers, and doers. This position will be at our DTM facility located in Hingham, MA.
This isn't just another engineering role – it's your opportunity to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, invent smart solutions, and see your ideas go from napkin sketch to production floor.
Key Responsibilities- Lead product development initiatives, from concept through production.
- Collaborate with Sales to develop product roadmaps, strategies, and timelines.
- Design and implement testing procedures, product prototypes, and enhancements.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal team members.
- Interpret and incorporate customer specifications and company proposals into engineering bills of materials.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure product goals are met on time and within budget.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products.
- Maintain thorough product documentation, including design files, test reports, and cost analyses.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts for product design and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience leading product development, sales support, and post‑sales service.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage clients and team members.
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer‑Aided Design) software.
- Proficiency in product design, planning, costing, and documentation.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Experience with liquid fluid handling equipment and liquid filling systems.
- Advanced degree or professional certifications in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong mechanical and electrical design experience, especially for application‑specific solutions.
- Working knowledge of fluid dynamics as applicable to filling applications.
- Passion for innovation and creating products that solve real‑world problems.
