$17.00/hr - $19.00/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. This includes using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and ensuring accurate entry of medication information.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Recommend items for sale and trade‑ups, perform cash handling duties, process returns, refunds, and exchanges, and take customers to the OTC aisle as needed.
• Maintain clean and well‑merchandised counters and shelves, manage inventory and records, and ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Assist with pharmacy workflow duties such as entering patient and drug information, preparing prescriptions, and reporting errors to the pharmacist on duty.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician calls, and process manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Support inventory management activities, maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques, and file claims for overages, shortages, or damaged goods involving prescriptions.
• Construct and maintain displays, complete resets and revisions, and assist with food item separation and stock rotation.
• Provide customer service for the photo area and assist with web pick‑up responsibilities.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, orderly store condition.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state‑required certification/registration.
• Attend training, complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate, and acquire continuing education credits in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Experience in a retail environment, preferable six months.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens, if possible.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription counting, measuring, and weighing.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
