Shift and PayFull Time / Part Time / Per Diem. Shift: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly.

Resident Care Associate shall provide for the needs of the elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety and emotional support in a manner that supports the dignity, independence, choice and individuality of each resident. The duties of Resident Care Associate include delivery of services as written on the approved service plan for each Resident.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES- Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co‑workers and the surrounding community.
- Have an active role in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals.
- Prior to being assigned regular duties, successfully complete the community's and any State orientation training program.
- Assist residents with medications according to State Regulation and LCB Policies, making the required record entries at appropriate times, and making the appropriate notifications to the nurse concerning self‑administered medications (as specified by state regulations).
- Actively engage residents in meaningful interactions and experiences; provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions as needed, for residents to be as independent as possible in activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, assist in dining, and mobility.
- Takes initiative in engaging in group and individual engagement.
- Monitors for changes in resident needs, preferences and health status, and reports/documents any noticed changes at once to the RN or designee.
- Assist residents with clothing and laundry needs as per the service plan.
- Assist residents in going to bed at night, when necessary.
- Assist residents with keeping their units neat, clean and orderly.
- Answer emergency calls and attend to residents’ needs promptly.
- Participate in the community's regularly scheduled on‑going in‑service training programs and, upon request, specialized staff training programs and mandatory education requirements dictated by State Regulation.
- Assist with escorting residents to meals and engagement as needed or directed.
- Document both scheduled and unscheduled service, incidents, behaviors, and out‑of‑ordinary events, including a resident’s refusal of services; input information into the community computer tracking system.
- Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity, and spiritual connection.
- Other duties as requested.

Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: use computer for documenting services; fluent communication in English, oral and written.
- Education:
Must have completed the course for certified nursing assistant or have equivalent training or experience as required by State Regulation; CPR and First Aide training mandated. - Experience:
Prior experience providing direct care or equivalent training preferred; experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred. - Certificates/Licenses:
Current license/certification as required by State Regulation; provide copies to Resident Care Director or designee. - Computer
Skills:
Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including word processing and data input.
