. This role supports the Team Leader in daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, compliance, and special projects. The team member leads and develops Team Members, ensuring a positive company image and adherence to WFM core values.

$20.05/hr - $35.00/hr

• Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Work with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assist Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and stay current on new products.
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure proper paperwork for processing.
• Resolve team concerns or issues in collaboration with Team Leader.
• Act as point person and departmental leader in absence of Team Leader.
• Set and achieve high standards of retail execution.
• Foster a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and morale.
• Communicate and model WFM vision and goals continuously.
• Monitor customer flows and direct Team Members to delight customers.
• Recruit, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain high performance and reduce turnover.
• Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for 6–8 hours during an 8‑hour day.
• Use hand skills: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
• Exposure to FDA‑approved cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to temperatures from below 32°F to above 90°F.
• Work in wet and dry conditions.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery.
• May require ladder use.
