Position: Full Time Educational Assistant - French Immersion
Location: Town of Hinton

Support special needs students as a Full Time Educational Assistant II in a French Immersion setting. This role is vital for assisting students with diverse challenges within an inclusive learning environment.

The Educational Assistant II will provide classroom support to students with physical, mental, or learning disabilities. This position collaborates closely with the IEP team to uphold each student's tailored educational plan. Key responsibilities include assisting with personal care, administering medications, and documenting student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in IEP development and student goals

• Act as liaison for students with educational staff

• Attend student outings and provide transportation

• Administer medications following GYPSD policy

• Maintain anecdotal records of student behavior

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• Proficiency in French required

• Valid Class 5 Driver's license may be needed

• Excellent communication skills essential

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
