Class 1 Local Pick up & Delivery Driver, Nightly

Overview

The driver is responsible for the timely delivery and pickup of freight within the Hinton and Jasper area. Shift is Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time of 5:00 AM on weekdays and 5:00 AM on Saturday. Average working hours are 9–10 hours per day. Some flexibility is required to meet customers' requirements. Pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment are required.

Home every night.

• Deliver and pickup freight in the Hinton and Jasper area according to schedule.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Maintain timely communications with customers and dispatch.
• Operate GPS and basic communication devices as needed.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements during daily duties.

• Class 1 license
• 1 year of experience (preferred)
• Reliable and dependable
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Knowledge of the Hinton and Jasper area (asset)
• Willingness to relocate to Hinton
• Deck experience (asset)
• TDG, WHMIS, and forklift experience (asset)
• Ability to provide a criminal record check, driver’s abstract, and 2 work-related references
