Acute Care Physical Therapist

Role: The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity in patients with diseases or injuries. They collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies, ensuring patient-centered care.

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans with input from patients and families.
• Implement and adjust therapy treatments, providing ongoing education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information adhering to departmental standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain confidentiality, and follow ethical practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members, participate in meetings, and organize workload efficiently.
• Promote excellent customer service by applying AIDET principles, fostering teamwork, and creating a positive environment.
• Engage in professional development activities, complete required training, and participate in staff onboarding.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist and BLS certification.
• Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
