Urgent Care Provider Residency Program – Nurse Practitioners / Physician Assistants – April 2026 Class (Hiram, GA)

Peachtree Immediate Care, part of the Emory Healthcare Network, offers a three‑month paid residency for new graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who have no prior Urgent Care or Primary Care training. Successful graduates receive guaranteed employment.
Eligibility & Requirements- New graduate Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners (or those with no prior Urgent Care/Primary Care experience)
- Minimum 40 hours/week for 3 months (480 total hours)
- Completion of DOT course and certification
- Completion of EMB Medicine Course in Coding
- Pass residency certification exam administered by the CMO
- Phase 1 – 90 hours of medical leadership training, including regional trainers
- Phase 2 – active provider role in a regional center with biweekly skills check‑ins and ongoing mentoring
- Clinical skills: EKGs, X‑rays, occupational medicine, injection administration, testing (COVID, strep, flu, A1c, etc.)
- Procedures: suturing (various techniques), incision & drainage, digital block, nail procedures, pelvic exam, eye exams
- Clinical work‑ups: abdominal pain, sprains/strains/fractures, MVAs, headaches, chest pain, anaphylaxis, bites/rashes, work‑man’s injuries, fever of unknown origin, stroke, dehydration, UTI/pyelonephritis, STI, burns
- Training progression from shadowing to independent patient care by month three
- Residency salary for three months, full salary after graduation
- Program Retention Bonus: up to $10,000
- Flexible schedules: no nights, no on‑call, limited weekends; three days one week and four days the next
- Flat‑rate fee for medical services at CRH‑affiliated clinics for providers and families
- Closed holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Easter (early closing on Christmas Eve and 4th of July) - Annual Merit Increase, annual bonus, yearly production bonus
- 401(k) match up to 4%
