Level 4 Trauma center at our Magnet Designated/Beacon Award winning Paulding campus in Hiram GA – 40 bed ER (10 are Pediatric). Exceptional customer care required for this community‑based campus with demonstrated experience of exceptional patient care and empathy.
Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions- Performs the nursing process using evidence based practice.
- Provides relationship‑based patient‑centered care consistent with population specific characteristics.
- Partners with patients and significant others using appropriate methods.
- Practices using current clinical practice standards. Teamwork and collaboration.
- Coordinates delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care.
- Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration with fiscal responsibility.
- Participates and supports performance improvement inclusive of all stakeholders.
- Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment.
- Serves as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses.
- Promotes evidence based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
- Upholds all health care system policies and procedures and clinical competencies.
- Participates in data collection and consults appropriate experts.
- Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum.
- Participates in development of protocols and procedures.
- Supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
Minimum Education

Education:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing. - Bachelor’s Degree:
Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing (Preferred).
- Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN – Multi‑state Compact.
- Basic Life Support or BLS – Instructor.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS – Instructor or ACLS – Provisional.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Instructor, Provisional, or Preferred.
- Minimum 5 years RN experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak English language.
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills and customer service skills.
- Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively, composed and respectfully.
- Excellent time‑management skills.
- Practice nursing using evidence, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
