Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) - East Paulding Pediatrics
Wellstar Health System invites applications for the Registered Nurse Supervisor role in East Paulding Pediatrics.
Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the physician and/or office manager, the RN Supervisor provides nursing care, supervises departmental staff, and ensures effective nursing services in alignment with policies, standards and regulations.
Core Responsibilities- Develop and maintain an environment that supports professional nurses and staff.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee bedside nursing care for pediatric patients.
- Lead and support survey readiness efforts and back‑office clinical operations.
- Promote clinical competency and maintain clinical quality control.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and unlicensed staff.
- Participate in evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, high‑quality patient care.
- Ensure documentation and compliance with Wellstar Clinical Champion Forum policies.
- Licensure: RN – Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT – RN – Multi‑state Compact.
- BLS or BLS‑I – Basic Life Support (Instructor) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, evidence‑based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Minimum Education
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- RN – Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT – RN – Multi‑state Compact.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse; supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of national nursing standards and healthcare procedures.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with staff, providers, and patients.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time efficiently.
- Team building, delegation, and leadership abilities.
- Basic computer and technology skills to support clinical care.
- Commitment to Wellstar Credo and Code of Conduct.
