Estimator | Main Contractor | London | £35,000 - £65,000 DOE

We're working with a well-established, privately owned main contractor based in London to recruit an Estimator on a permanent basis. Known for delivering high-quality projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors — ranging from £500k through to multi-million-pound schemes — this is a business with a strong pipeline and a collaborative, non-corporate culture.

You’ll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders from enquiry through to submission.

Day‑to‑day this means performing detailed takeoffs, reading and interrogating drawings across all disciplines, and developing a thorough understanding of scope of works for each project.

There will also be some Quantity Surveying duties involved, making this a well‑rounded commercial role with real breadth.

• 3+ years' experience in a construction estimating role, ideally with a main contractor
• Strong takeoff ability from 2D drawings across multiple trade packages
• Confident reading architectural, structural, and M&E drawings
• A sharp commercial mind with a clear understanding of risk and scope
• Good communication skills — able to liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Any exposure to QS duties or cost reporting is a bonus
