Overview
Mechanical Design Engineer – Solid Works role in Hertfordshire for a company specializing in rugged power system designs for aerospace and defence.
Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical solutions using Solid Works, focusing on electronic enclosures.
- Create robust housings suitable for harsh and demanding environments.
- Support prototype builds and validation testing of mechanical designs.
- Generate 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with electronics, systems, and manufacturing teams for project integration.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Strong Solid Works experience.
- Proven background in designing enclosures for electronics.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to obtain baseline SC security clearance.
