An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Mechanical Fitter to join our client's growing engineering team.

Our client is a well-established specialist engineering business with over 40 years of experience within the water treatment industry. They design, manufacture, assemble and test bespoke water treatment systems for a range of commercial and industrial applications.

- Carry out mechanical assembly and installation of components on industrial water treatment systems.
- Fit, build and align pumps, valves, brackets, gauges and other mechanical components on large industrial machinery.
- Use a range of hand tools and power tools to complete mechanical fitting and assembly work.
- Read and work from engineering drawings and technical information to ensure components are assembled correctly.
- Provide hands-on support to the wider engineering team within a busy workshop environment.
- Maintain a high standard of quality, precision and safety throughout all work.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and to the required specifications.
- Previous mechanical fitting, mechanical assembly or engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience using a range of hand tools and power tools.
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings would be highly beneficial.
- Experience building, assembling, installing or working on machinery or mechanical systems would be advantageous.
- Candidates with experience fixing, building or assembling machines are encouraged to apply, as this experience can be transferable.
- Experience with in industrial machinery, engineering or water treatment would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Familiarity with ABS/PVC-U assemblies would be an advantage.
- A practical, hands-on approach with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Comfortable working within a dynamic and busy workshop environment.
