About the RoleOur client is a friendly and well-established Manufacturing business looking for a skilled Cable Assembler / Wire Person to join their team.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble cables, PCB assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Read and follow technical drawings, schematics and instructions.
- Carry out soldering, wire stripping and crimping.
- Complete point-to-point and semi-automated testing.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble components.
- Check completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Identify and report defective parts or issues.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
- Work effectively as part of a small team.
- Previous experience as a Cable Assembler, Wire Person or similar.
- Ideally 2 years' relevant experience, although candidates with strong manual dexterity will be considered.
- Experience with in the electronics industry.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with soldering, wire stripping and crimping.
- Good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work accurately and follow procedures.
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
