Hours: 33 hours per week - 3 day shifts per week

Pay Rate: £21.40 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN) to join our well-established client based in Hitchin on a permanent basis.
This role is specifically for a Registered Nurse to work 3 day shifts per week, totalling 33 hours
. The shifts run from 08:00 to 20:00
The successful candidate will join a highly regarded residential, nursing and dementia care provider, becoming part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional, person-centred care.
Essential Requirement - EMAR ExperienceApplicants MUST have previous experience using EMAR (Electronic Medication Administration Records).
This is an essential requirement for the position.
Candidates without EMAR experience will not be considered.
- Lead clinical night shifts and provide effective clinical oversight.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate personalised care plans.
- Promote residents' independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to care staff.
- Administer medication safely and accurately, including using the EMAR system
. - Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records.
- Identify and respond appropriately to changes in residents' conditions.
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and liaise with healthcare professionals where required.
- Support and mentor Care Assistants through guidance, training and coaching.
- Act as a Named Nurse for a designated group of residents where required.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
- Promote a positive, open and supportive team culture.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest professional standards.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and report concerns promptly.
- Deliver thorough and effective handovers between shifts.
- Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RN).
- Previous hands-on experience using EMAR is essential.
- Previous nursing experience within a care home, nursing home or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good understanding of medication management and clinical documentation.
- Willingness to complete mandatory and specialist training.
