Registered Veterinary Nurse - 12-month FTC

Berry House Vets, Hitchin, is looking for a friendly and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive and experienced team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of treatments and procedures while being part of a fun, professional environment.

Role Details

As an RVN at Berry House, you’ll be involved in a variety of nursing duties including patient care, nurse clinics, theatre work, and supporting a wide range of treatments and procedures. Our nurses are encouraged to use their full potential and make the most of the advanced equipment available, including laparoscopy, digital X‑ray (including dental), multiparameter monitoring, and Phovia.

Work Schedule
  • Full‑time, 40 hours per week
  • Shift patterns: 7:30–16:00, 8:00–16:30, 10:00–18:30, with occasional duty shifts 15:00–21:45
  • Weekends 1 in 7: 9:00–15:00 and 8:30–12:30
  • No out‑of‑hours calls; reception staff cover opening hours

The practice is just five minutes from the mainline station into London and ten minutes from the bustling High Street, offering a mix of cafes, high‑street shops, and independent retailers. Our modern facilities include advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment, and our team is committed to providing excellent care for both patients and clients.
