• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs, and may orient staff and students as needed.
• Assesses patients' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions; works cooperatively with other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Observes and evaluates treatment effectiveness and accomplishment of short‑ and long‑term goals, recommending changes to the physician when necessary.
• Performs appropriate assessments and reassessments for each patient, executes accurate and timely QI scoring; focuses on adult and geriatric patients in an adult medical rehabilitation program.
• Assesses patient pain that interferes with optimal function, implements interventions to reduce pain, and contacts the physician for additional intervention as needed.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
