Responsibilities
  • Manages the department, ensuring efficient and timely production and proper staffing of all department-related requirements to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Manages Supervisors, ensuring their teams are well managed; supports recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Assigns duties, gives verbal and written instructions, and reviews work for conformance to quality and safety standards.
  • Provides technical guidance to team members and consults with other resources when needed.
  • Communicates with the Director, Manufacturing regarding schedules and backlogs.
  • Works with Project Managers and Engineering as appropriate.
  • Determines outsourcing needs to maintain project schedules.
  • Reviews labor charges, purchase requisitions, and department schedules.
  • Conducts department and CIT meetings.
  • Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience Requirements: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience;
    Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the material handling industry.

    Skills and Abilities

    Requirements:
    Excellent management skills for directing, coaching, scheduling, and assisting team members;
    Technical orientation with ability to learn new technologies;
    Computer skills including MS Office Products;
    Experience using MRP/ERP system; SAP Preferred;
    Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills;
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    Self-motivated and detail oriented;
    Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines;
    Team-oriented and collaborative;
    Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Salary Range

$80,000-$100,000
