The Inventory Manager will manage the activities and performance of Supervisors to ensure that quality products are manufactured on time, safely, and within budget.

$80,000 – $100,000

• Manage the department, ensuring efficient and timely production and proper staffing to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
• Manage the Supervisor(s), ensuring their teams are well managed; support recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions; plan and review compensation actions; enforce policies and procedures.
• Assign duties, give verbal and written instructions, and review work for conformance to quality and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and consult with other resources when needed.
• Communicate with the Director of Manufacturing regarding schedules and backlogs.
• Work with Project Managers and Engineering as appropriate.
• Determine outsourcing needs to maintain project schedules.
• Review labor charges, purchase requisitions, and department schedules.
• Conduct department and CIT meetings.
• Ensure employees comply with all of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
• Ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to achieve leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the material handling industry.

• Excellent management skills for directing, coaching, scheduling, and assisting team members.
• Technical orientation with ability to learn new technologies.
• Computer skills, including MS Office Products.
• Experience using MRP/ERP systems; SAP Preferred.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
