Position Summary: The Inventory Order Picker Lead aids the Supervisor to manage the workload of all Order Picker, including training and mentoring new employees and performs departmental tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in managing team members’ work in prioritizing and completion of tasks
- Teaching new hires how to perform inventory functions properly using Voice Headset/Scanner
- Verifying accuracy and quality
- Inspecting for damages or defects, records issues, and notifies supervisor
- Oversees and assists with picking orders in accordance with location and description
- Maintaining department database, preparing routine reports, and filing records
- Operating department material handling equipment and assisting in routine equipment maintenance
- Following departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety rules
- Perform other work as related to Inventory Department
- Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Licensed forklift truck operator
