Responsibilities

Position Summary: Order Filler’s label and put away materials received from other departments. They work with other departments to ensure delivery of materials safely and on time.

  • Labeling and counting materials received from other departments and puts away in the correct area safely and on time.
  • Preparing accurate orders for outbound shipments.
  • Consolidating inventory.
  • Conducting weekly inventory — down stocking, refreshing labels as needed.
  • Uses a scanner to verify and track orders.
  • May be required to use material handling equipment, following all safety rules.
  • Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience operating forklift equipment a plus
  • Experience with inventory/shipping a plus

ADA Requirements:

  • Medium work:
    Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Reaching:
    Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing:
    Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Walking:

  • Lifting:

    Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing:
    Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motions:
    Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Visual Acuity:

  • The worker is required to: have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • The worker is required to: have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
  • The worker is required to: have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
