Senior Production Planner

The Senior Production Planner manages the initiation of sales orders into the production plan and is responsible for project schedule execution through the production process, including executing change requests and engineering revisions.

• Convert all new sales orders from quote to production status; assign shipping dates to sales orders that don’t require assembly.
• Manage sales order change requests, including analyzing the effect on resources, costs, and schedule.
• Work with Project Execution and Customer Service on schedules for major projects.
• Communicate with Shipping and Traffic to ensure expected delivery to job sites.
• Support the Planning Manager to coordinate the specials quoting process.
• Ensure the production plan is met by monitoring demand and scheduling and working with Purchasing and Production Schedulers.
• Process bill of material revisions, evaluating and communicating the impact of changes to Production Control Management, Scheduling, Customer Service, and Project Execution.
• Support the Planning Manager with the returned merchandise process.
• Support the Shipping Scheduler by managing the conversion and ship dates for Wynparts orders.
• Assist with metrics collection and reporting, including Plant Capacity report, Delivery KPI, and Supply and Operations Planning data collection.
• Serve as back‑up for the Planning Manager and help train new production control employees.
• Take part in internal and external training in planning and business techniques.
• Comply with all policies and procedures to sustain process outputs that drive continuous improvement and exceptional customer satisfaction.

• Work authorization: legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.
• Commute: must be able to commute to Hobart, Indiana on a daily basis.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of production planning or project scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of MRP systems and experience with advanced user functionality; SAP (MM/PP/PS) experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge; ability to perform VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
• Ability to multi‑task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines; highly detail‑oriented and organized.
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand the English language.

USD $57,000 – $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
