Welder – 2nd Shift – Daifuku North America

• Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials.
• Planning work by interpreting blueprints.
• Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused.
• Selecting and setting up welding equipment.
• Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications.
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
  Certificate or Associate degree in welding.
• Minimum 3‑5 years experience in welding.
• AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification.

• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self‑inspection techniques.
• Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.
• Team orientation.
• Crane operation experience preferred, but not required.
• Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Medium work:
  Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

  Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
